The Archives of Latvian Folklore stores a huge collection of musical scores. At the moment there are more than ten thousand images of manuscript notation sheets. These could be made better comprehensible if they were converted into digital notation files. If you are familiar with such notation software as Sibelius and Noteflight - or some other -, digitise some scores and add a file. The collection of written music will become more usable!

Studying the celebration customs in modern-day Latvia, the researchers of the Archives of Latvian Folklore turn to personal calendars. How many special days are there in it – days that are not just ordinary weekdays; days when something is remembered or celebrated? Which of the state holidays, church festivities or traditional seasonal festivals do we include in our ritual year? What festivals and days of celebration do we add on our own accord? Become a reporter of all calendar days for the whole year! Mark each day that is not only spent in the work routine. Choose a date and tell us: what, how and why is celebrated!
